Refunds & cancellations

Eligibility

Refunds depend on whether audit reading has started and whether you cancel, reschedule, or fail to deliver materials by the agreed intake date.

Full refund

You may receive a full refund if you cancel in writing more than five business days before the scheduled start of reading and we have not begun reviewing your files.

Partial refund

If you cancel after reading has started but before the written report is delivered, we may refund up to 40% of the engagement fee, less work already performed. Once the report is delivered, the fee is non-refundable.

Non-refundable items

• Completed audit reports and follow-up calls already held
• Rush completeness fees after the rush window was reserved for you
• Scope expansions you approved in writing after intake

Deposits

Some engagements require a deposit to reserve reading capacity. Deposits become non-refundable within five business days of the scheduled start, unless we cancel the engagement.

Cancellation and rescheduling

You may reschedule once without fee if you give at least five business days’ notice and capacity exists. Later reschedules may forfeit the deposit. If we must cancel for capacity or conflict reasons, you may choose a full refund or a new date.

No-shows and missing files

If materials are not received by the agreed intake deadline and you do not respond within two business days, we may treat the engagement as cancelled. Deposits may be retained; unused reading fees may be refunded minus administrative cost of up to ¥8,000.

Work already started

Time spent inventorying files, reading statements, or drafting findings counts as work started and reduces any partial refund.

Purchased materials

We do not sell printed kits or third-party materials. No material-purchase refunds apply.

Process and timing

Email refund requests to hello@dataedgesolutions.digital with your name, engagement type, and payment reference. Approved refunds are returned by the original payment method within fourteen business days.

Exceptions

Mandatory consumer rights under Japanese law remain unaffected. If we deliver a report for the wrong programme due to our administrative error, you may request a corrected reading at no charge or a full refund of that engagement.
