When to audit before recommenders write
Timing an application package review so letter writers are not asked to revise after forms and statements have already shifted.
Recommenders dislike rewriting. If your programme list, research focus, or employment dates change after letters are sealed, you either awkwardly ask for updates or submit a file that no longer agrees with itself.
We advise a light document readiness check once your target list is stable, then a fuller audit of applications after draft statements exist but before letters are finalised. That sequence lets letter writers reinforce the same themes you plan to emphasise — clinical hours, fieldwork in Songkhla, language study — without contradicting a later rewrite.
If letters are already submitted through a portal, treat them as fixed. The audit then focuses on making the rest of the package consistent with what those letters claim, rather than inventing new chapters they never mentioned.
